Drive with a smile

Friday, June 13th, 2008

On Friday I experienced a driver training at BMW in Munich. Our group was driving the current model of the BMW 330i. We had to master different challenges like emergency braking on wet ground and double lane change manoeuvres. I personally enjoyed the slalom pacoure best.

Monaco, Jetlake Opening and …

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

MC was fine as usually, meeting Gerhard again and having some good wine at the terrace. Although Nokia sponsored my trip (including a limo from the airport to the venue!) I definitely have to take the helicopter from Nice to Monte Carlo the next time, as it is faster and of course more exciting.

Right after coming home on April 30th, there was the wakeboard opening at the JetLake, Feldkirchen. Weather wasn’t too good and the water very (!) cool. Thus I decided not to head for a ride that day. Actually the prices rose tremendously this year, thus I’m not sure if I wanna keep on actively wakeboarding. But let’s wait until summer.

Summer, that’s also the keyword for the next “event”. Cleaning the pool at my parents home. About 5 hours of hard work with a lot of “Essigreiniger” resulting in aching muscles but a cosy pool, just waiting for the first party to take place ;-)

Californiacation, LA Car Show

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

A Car Show again … but this time it is not me at the venue, but my fellow student Kathi. She is actually working for Real Time Technology AG in LA after staying with the company in Munich for more than three years. You might already know her from the famous “Ich will jetzt einen Porsche als Zweitwagen” picture collection.

Back to the story: there is this car show in LA at the moment and she had the chance to sit in all cars already during the press days. Nothing more to add – just enjoy the pics.

There is also a very nice video from the Bugatti Veyron on the web:;

I already saw that car during the F1 GP in Monaco:

Driving a go-cart …

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

… is simply awesome. Mentors and mentees of the Capstone program met in Munich/Garching for a nice networking event at an open air go-cart racecourse. After a warm up and qualifying session we headed for a challenging race. (I still had the F1-GP in Monaco in my mind) I was amoung the 15 best drivers after the qualifying but unfortunatly I didn’t do too well during the official race. (I left the course twice and had two 360-turns after entering the baffle at a too high speed). But it was great fun anyway. After the cart race we headed down town for a nice dinner in a steak house and some caipys.Â

F1 GP Monaco 2007

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

WHAT-A-WEEKEND. We (Alex, Klaus, Christoph and I) spent a four-day-weekend in Monaco in order to join the Formula 1 GP. Thanks to uncle Gerhard we didn’t have to care about logging and were able to stay in his apartment directly downtown Monte Carlo. The weekend was great and it is a must for each F1-Fan to see this GP live. Unfortunately prices during this weekend rise tremendously – going out in club could be expense: 20 EUR for a coke (0,2 l)Â and 55 EUR for a vodka lemon is even a high price for Cote d’Azur.

All picture (several hundert) can be found at Klaus’ website.
