Gemalto & Berlin

Monday, April 30th, 2007

This was the first for me in Berlin – the divided City. I was invited by Gemalto, a SIM Card Manufacturer, to take a training on Software Development related to  SIM Cards (Sim Application Toolkit). The training was very interesting as also the people I got to know there.

I also took the chance to stay two additional days in Berlin to do some sightseeing (including a Bus-Tour and a boat cruise on the Spree). One evening I hung out with Stephan and Florian I met at the WIMA in Monaco enjoying the bars in the students’ quarter of Berlin.

Jetlake Opening 2007

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

What’s going on? It is April although lots of people could be found at the Jetlake? Yes, raising temperatures and great weather allowed us to have the Jetlake opening already in April this year. The water is still quite cold (around 15°C) but with a neoprene suite this is not an issue. As I don’t have (yet) my own equipment I just chilled around at the lake watching the other boarders riding. But anyway – it was a great opening for me as well. I’m looking forward to a sunny and accident-free season. Â

Top Marques Show Monaco

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Belive me or not – at the WIMA I got a VIP pass for the top marques show monaco taking place in the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. I tell you, this fair you shouldn’t miss. You have money – buy what you’d like to: exclusive private jets & helicopters, yachts & boats, villas in any place of the world — and of course cars.

It really was amazing. There are already a lot of expensive cars like Maybach, Bentleys and Maseratis driving around in Monaco, but the cars at the exhibition there were the “creme de la creme”. Enjoy the pics.

WIMA Monaco

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

The WIMA in Monaco featured a special track on NFC this year. Addtionally the “Touching the Future” contest had the final round in Monaco. I got to know several students from Europa dealing closly with NFC. Â

Café @Harry’s Home

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Yesterday I visited Harry and Alex at the building site of the house (did I already mention, that I fancy building sites?). The house is “growing” and you already get a feeling on who the whole thing is going to look like. Take your time and have a look at the pictures in Harry’s blog. They are very nice to look at. Â

Scissor Sisters Concert Vienna

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

Alex and I we got cards the Scissor Sisters from Alex’s mother in law. The concert taking place in the “Gasometer” in Vienna was not worth see and very boring (see the picx). During the concert we though several times of leaving and heading downtown for club. Afterwards we joined some friends in the “Passage” and finally had a nice evening in Vienna.
